Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 10 April 2025
By purchasing a product or service from Mr Sweep (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “the Company”), you (referred to as “you”, “the customer”, or “the purchaser”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Definitions

  • “We”/”Us” – Refers to Mr Sweep Stove Shop and its representatives.

  • “You”/”Customer” – Refers to the purchaser or their authorised representative.

2. Deposits and Orders

  • Deposits are required for package deals and installation services.

  • Once a product has been ordered on your behalf from a supplier, it is deemed committed and paid for.

  • Delivery will be arranged either to our premises or the agreed installation address.

3. Pricing & Quotation

  • All work will be carried out at the price quoted unless changes are requested by the customer.

  • Custom or special-order products that are no longer required are subject to supplier return and restocking charges, typically up to 20%, excluding postage or transportation costs.

4. Cooling-Off Period

  • Finance agreements may include a statutory cooling-off period.

  • If you choose to waive this right to meet a deadline, cancellation will result in a 20% charge of the total installation contract to cover return, restocking, and scheduling costs.

5. Installation Scheduling

  • All work will be completed as a continuous, start-to-finish project.

  • We do not undertake installations in partial stages unless agreed in writing beforehand.

  • Additional visits requested by the customer will incur a minimum charge of £75 plus expenses, and must be confirmed in writing.

6. Demonstration & Handover

  • A free, in-person demonstration of how to light and use your appliance is provided at the end of the installation.

  • This is a one-time service; please ensure you are available to receive it.

7. Finance Contract Sign-Off

  • For finance-agreed installations, the lead customer must be present on completion to sign off a satisfactory completion note.

  • This is required to release funds to pay for the work. No installation will proceed without prior confirmation of this availability.

8. Completion & Warranty

  • Upon completion, our team leader will walk you through:

    • The installation

    • CO alarm placement and functionality

    • Relevant documentation

  • Manufacturer warranty forms will be left with the customer, who must register the appliance directly.

  • Mr Sweep is not the manufacturer, and is not responsible for the product guarantee.

  • We guarantee our workmanship, and will rectify any installation issues within a reasonable time.

9. Misuse & Guarantee

  • Misuse of the appliance or failure to follow operational instructions will void all warranties and guarantees.

10. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is due on the day of installation completion.

  • Any automated payment agreements will also be processed on this day.

11. Marketing & Advertising

  • We reserve the right to use any photographs taken before, during, or after the installation for marketing or promotional purposes.

  • For package deal installations, we may place a small advertising board outside the property for up to 28 days.
